Senior Manager - Metrics, Analytics & Reporting

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Metrics, Analytics & Reporting team at Marsh Risk, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Manager – Metrics, Analytics & Reporting (Grade E, Data Analyst – Portfolio Solutions)

The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing insurance policy data sourced from MIDAS (Data lake & warehouse) and Excel databases to identify patterns, classify policies, and support the development of new portfolio solutions (Facilities). This role plays a key part in transforming data insights into actionable strategies that drive portfolio segmentation, targeting, and revenue growth.

We will count on you to:

• Extract, clean, and analyze data from MIDAS and Excel databases to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within insurance portfolios.
• Classify policies based on defined business rules and criteria to support portfolio segmentation and targeting strategies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable portfolio solutions and strategies.
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to track portfolio performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Support the identification of gaps and potential areas for new portfolio solutions based on data analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the analysis process.
• Work closely with AI and data engineering teams to enhance data processing and integration workflows.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you need to have:

• Graduate with 10 plus years of prior work experience in Insurance Broking domain
• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in insurance, risk management, or related industries.
• Strong proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data manipulations.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present insights clearly.
• Knowledge of insurance products, policies, and portfolio management is a plus
• Should be comfortable with 12pm -9pm & 1pm – 10pm
