As an Assistant Manager of Security in our iconic venues, you'll lead a hospitality-focused security team to ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience for guests, artists, and staff. You'll work closely with leadership to maintain the venue's safety and security strategy, supervise security staff, coordinate crowd management protocols, respond to incidents, and maintain comprehensive safety operations. As the ideal candidate you'll bring proven leadership in crowd management, fostering a welcoming environment that enhances the live music experience.
- Lead operational aspects of the security staff. Ensure staffing for necessary event security positions. Notify venue leadership regarding any changes in staffing needs. Support daily venue safety and security operations as needed.
- Support HR functions of the security team including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Oversee ongoing training including first aid, CPR, AED, crowd management, etc. Maintain documentation of staff license, certification, and training.
- Schedule staff to align with established labor budgets based on forecasted attendance to ensure safe and exceptional guest experience. Ensure timekeeping accuracy for hourly staff.
- Meet with clients, artists, VIPs, etc. to coordinate special security needs. Oversee security needs for all shows and rental clients on the day of event. Conduct pre-shift staff meetings to communicate event-specific information.
- Lead a culture of exceptional guest service by coaching security staff to uphold company service standards and coordinating with departments to anticipate and resolve guest concerns.
- Assist in the development of emergency preparedness protocols. Conduct inspections, audits, and tabletop exercises to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure the safety and security of the venue.
- Oversee physical building security, including magnetic locking system / ID key cards, security technologies, including surveillance (CCTV), access control, and fire suppression systems.
- Serve as point of contact for law enforcement and first responders. Coordinate incident response, and post-incident recovery activities, including determining the severity of the incident and prosecution if necessary. Coordinate scheduled functions with local law enforcement as needed.
- Model company guiding principles. Communicate and uphold corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Participate in annual company audits.
