Pay Range: $15 per hour
Connoisseur Media is seeking a talented, motivated, and enthusiastic intern to join our programming department in our Anchorage, Alaska market location. This will be a paid Internship through the Alaska Broadcasters Association. This internship will provide hands-on experience in radio broadcasting, news production, and learning how to work with a team. You will be helping out in the Programming Department with news and operations on all seven stations in the market location.
What You Will Learn:
- Prize setup and distribution.
- General Administrative duties.
- Produce and edit audio programming segments.
- Write and post information to station websites and social media platforms.
- Understand procedures in case of a computer crash or loss of broadcast signal.
- Communication procedures in the event of any concerns, issues, or problems with the broadcast.

Responsibilities of this position may include:
- Assisting in the production of news content for on-air and online distribution.
- Monitoring breaking news and updating coverage as needed.
- Recording hourly newscasts.
- Engage with listeners via social media and at events.
- Other duties as assigned by the Business or Operations Manager.
Requirements of this position include the following:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a team player and work well with management and staff at all levels.
- Public speaking skills and the ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.
- Ability to multitask and handle pressures and deadlines.
- Be a positive member of a tight-knit team.
- Must be creative and innovative with a strong work ethic.
