This position is open until filled and may close at any time The Senior RN - Clinical Educator will work collaboratively with CHS administrative and clinical leadership to plan, develop, implement and and evaluate a comprehensive education program for clinical staff members in Correctional Health Services. Please note: An offer of employment will be contingent on the applicant successfully passing a DHHS background check, pre- employment drug testing, and a Utah Department of Corrections (UDC) background screening. Key responsibilities of the position include: Content and Program Development: Developing training materials in a variety of mediums including in-person, online and video platforms. Instruction: The provision of training to clinical staff via classroom, online and in-person sessions. Onboarding: Developing and executing onboarding and orientation training. Certifications: Monitoring the licenses and certifications of clinical staff members. Coordinating BLS, ACLS and other certification courses as requested. Evaluation: Assessing the effectiveness of educational programs and individual staff competencies. Regulatory Standards: A strong working knowledge of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) standards. Collaboration: Working with CHS Directors and leadership to align education with organizational goals and identified clinical needs. Supplemental Information Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Utah. Effective July 1, 2021, State of Utah Employees must either reside in Utah or be in the process of relocating to Utah within 30 days of their start date. Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc. Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
