Job Description
Location – St Mary’s Retirement Village - Berkeley
Permanent Part Time role – 22.8 hours - 3 days per week (including Monday’s)
$38 per hour + superannuation
Up to $18,550 tax free with not for profit salary packaging

We are seeking a friendly, proactive, and highly organised Village Manager to manage the operational, customer, people and quality outcomes for St Mary’s Retirement Village, Berkeley. St Mary's is a small village of 33 units, and this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people from all walks of life and who has a genuine passion for community engagement and wellbeing.
Day to day this role looks like:
Leading the day-to-day operations of the retirement village, ensuring compliance with the NSW Retirement Villages Act 1999 and Catholic Healthcare policies
Promoting Catholic Healthcare’s mission by fostering a connected, inclusive, and supportive community for older people
Building strong relationships with residents, support their independence, dignity, and choice, and respond promptly to complaints or concerns
Overseeing village financial performance, including budgets, reporting, contractor management, and stewardship of resources
Driving resident engagement and satisfaction by maintaining a welcoming village environment and working closely with resident committees
Managing the sales process, including nurturing leads, conducting tours, coordinating refurbishments, completing contracts, and supporting new resident orientation
Ensuring the village is safe, well maintained, and compliant with WHS, risk, confidentiality, and mandatory training requirements
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
High level of written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
Focus on results and resident satisfaction
Previous experience at management level in retirement living or hospitality (preferred)
Budget and financial management experience
Experience in facilitating activities and services to elevate social connection, lifestyle and wellbeing
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Knowledge of Home Care packages
Passion and enthusiasm to promote the life and spirituality of Older Australians
