
Field Operator, Level 1-5 (Sacroc)
Job Description
Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Field Water Station Operator for the SACROC Production Field. The SACROC Production Field over 1200 production/injection wells, 22 Separation facilities 10 Water collection facilities and 5 Water Injection Stations used for the production of oil and CO2/Water Injection.
The position will be for a Water Station Operator, working on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule. The Field Water Station Operator position serves a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the SACROC Field Water Injection Facilities. The Field Water Injection System employs a multitude of stations that include injection pumps/Vapor Recovery Units and processes which include water, oil and gas processing. This Position will be required to work alone without minimal direct supervision and to communicate clearly with other operators and relief staff of operational issues and station reports. Position level is commensurate with experience and skill sets.
What You Will Do
- 30 minutes response time during a callout, when required
- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
- Promote the Company's EHS philosophy and culture
- Monitoring of Stations and Facilities to meet regulatory requirements
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow applicable
- policies and procedures
- Operation of production equipment to maintain designated operating conditions
- Surveillance of automated production operations
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment
- Shutdown and startup of equipment (pumps, facilities, equipment, etc.)
- Lockout and Tag out duties for maintenance work
- Interact with company and contract personnel
- Complete all appropriate documentation on time
- Write Maintenance Work Orders, as needed
What You Need
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Certificates, Registrations, & Licenses
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
Physical requirements
- Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness
- May be required to stand, walk and ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled workday. Must be available 24 hrs a day if needed during on call rotation.
- Provide oral and written communication of activities to appropriate personnel.
- Be willing to work with pressure that range from 0-2200#.
Experience/Specific Knowledge
- Recognizes importance of safety, willing to lead and participate in promoting safe operations
- EOR experience
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must be able to multi-task multiple areas of SacRoc
- Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Office and Excel applications
- Must be a self-starter with a high drive for results
- Must have good time management skills and be able to handle multiple tasks at same time.
- Experience analyzing and maintaining pumps, controls and valves.
