Summary
Help drive food, safety and operational excellence across our production facility. As a Chemical Process Technician, you will maintain and operate equipment associated with antimicrobial applications throughout the plant, ensuring processes are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards. You will partner with production and maintenance teams to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance plant operations. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in supporting the delivery of high-quality products.
This position has a target wage of $24.50 - $37 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00am - 3:00pm (weekends as needed)
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the PCC system to meet intervention requirements for on-time shift startup and maintain continuous production in the facility.
- Perform titrations of intervention levels accurately and in a timely manner.
- Document results clearly and make necessary adjustments to maintain control.
- Complete all documentation associated with bird temperatures, PAA levels, pH, makeup water GPM, and water levels.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted to the QA/HACCP office at the end of each shift.
- Report system issues to facility leadership, including maintenance and production.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance of systems.
- Utilize all chemical safety processes and personal protective equipment in accordance with company policy.
- Communicate with chemical vendors and technical support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Demonstrate strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills.
- Possess experience with chemical handling and dosing pump applications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Work in temperature conditions ranging from less than 32°F to over 85°F.
- Experience damp environments with ambient moisture levels.
- Walk and stand on surfaces that may be wet, dry, greasy, uneven, or constructed of metal grating.
- Handle exposure to chlorinated water, ammonia vapors exceeding 5 ppm, carbon fuel fumes, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and PAA.
- Work in noise levels ranging from 90–94.9 dB.
- Use tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and knives.
- Wear required personal protective equipment including hearing protection, eye protection, rubber gloves, cotton gloves, hard hat, apron, lab coat, and hair net.
- Walk distances exceeding 100 feet as needed.
- Stand with variable mobility and sit for periods of less than one hour with intermittent movement.
- Lift up to 20–40 pounds from floor level to a height of 4–5 feet with extended reach beyond 24 inches.
- Perform lifting in bent positions and reach for durations up to one hour.
- Grasp objects such as poultry parts, hand tools, equipment handles, and containers using both hands for up to 76–100% of the time.
