About our group:

The Global Logistics organization is responsible for defining and managing “Stock-to-Deliver” and “Order Management, ATP and Fulfilment” processes globally. Responsibilities encompass over 120 locations (Finished goods, Contract Manufacturers, Semi-finished, Transshipment, JIT hubs, VMI, Collection Points, CSO & Circularity CP, DC, FSL and Repair Centers, SRS Labs, Vendor Inbound), for all business segments (Core, Retail, Flash, EDS, CSO & Circularity, SRS.) and all movement types (Outbound, Intercompany, Vendor Inbound, Pick-ups, Miscellaneous Shipments).

 

The Global Logistics organization is made of the Logistics Centre of Excellence, 3 regional Logistics & Transportation Execution team and one “Order Management, ATP and Fulfilment” team, accounting for over 100 employees located in APAC, Europe, and Americas.

About the role - you will:

The Logistics Center of Excellence Staff Program/Project Manager is in charge of managing projects from conception to completion, sustaining the Logistics organization as a best-in-class performing organization. To do so, the Staff Program/Project Manager:

  • Leads and manages complex logistics (global) projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with business rules.
  • Works closely with various internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Regularly communicate with colleagues, managers, other stakeholders both internally, and externally to support key business initiatives.
  • Use data analytics to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance logistics operation.
  • Supports and manages strategic initiatives.
  • This is an individual contributor role and does not have people management responsibilities.

 

The Staff Program/Project Manager works closely with the Order Management, ATP and JIT Logistics team, regional Transportation & Logistics Execution teams, other Seagate teams, 3rd party Logistics Providers and carriers.

Your experience includes:

The activities covered by the Staff Program/Project Manager can be sorted into the following categories:

  • Program management:
    • Support strategic initiatives e.g. Global Warehouse strategy, VMI Centralization, Transportation optimization.
    • Leads and manages complex logistics (global) projects e.g. Warehouse Automation, WMS implementation, JIT Centralization, Freight consolidation.
    • Prepare requests for quotations.
    • Support RFx projects with the Procurement Teams monitoring:
      • Negotiate contracts and schedules.
      • Quotations and Price revisions.
      • Cost and Scope monitoring.
      • Project timeliness.
  • Supports Warehouse and Transportation Execution teams:
    • Defining and document processes, methods and tools.
    • Support and train inside and outside of Logistics.
    • Review Performance and KPIs with Execution teams for all Seagate Warehouse globally.
    • Set up & monitor continuous improvement action plans with Execution teams / other teams.
  • Operational tasks & Performance management:
    • Support, implement, monitor and enforce Global Warehouse Execution and Transportation rules, methods and tools:
      • Manage Execution Plans.
      • Manage Operational and Transportation costs and lead times.
      • Maintain (future) WMS master data.
      • Create SOPs/Business Rules and train Execution Teams.
      • Interact with IT to lead improvements of Warehouse Execution and Transportation processes.
    • Define and implement activity and performance reports.
      • Create Warehouse Execution capacity base lines and metrics.
      • Create automated and actionable Warehouse Execution dashboards.
      • Define and implement Transportation and Warehouse KPI and metrics.
  • Use data analytics to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance logistics operation.
    • Rates maintenance

Your experience includes:

  • Logistics/Supply chain: Solid experience required in Transportation and Warehouse management.
  • Hands-on experience with logistics management systems (TMS, WMS, etc.)
  • Project Management Experience: Experience in managing logistics or supply chain projects through all phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in leading and directing project teams, including assigning tasks, managing resources, and ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Industry-Specific Experience: Specific experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation is highly beneficial. This includes knowledge of transportation modes, pricing, customs regulations, and export compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills: Experience in analysing, reviewing data, recognizing opportunities for improvement.
  • Duration of Experience: Typically, at least 5-7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a change management role.
