French Language Instructor

Position Title: French Language Instructor
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time (as scheduled)
Location: U.S. Embassy Beirut, Awkar, Lebanon

Requirements

• • Minimum 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time experience teaching French.
  • Experience teaching French to non-native speakers, preferably adults.
  • Strong knowledge of French grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing instruction.
  • Ability to prepare lesson plans, handouts, exercises, and classroom materials.
  • Experience with DELF, TCF, or similar language programs is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support students at different levels.

Duties

• Teach French language classes to adult Embassy students.
• Deliver 1-hour class sessions based on the approved schedule.
• Prepare lessons focused on speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Adjust instruction based on each student’s level and learning goals.
• Include practical and job-related vocabulary for professional use.
• Track attendance and monitor student progress.
• Provide feedback and learning recommendations to students.
• Coordinate with the Post Language Officer when required.
