Residential House Manager

Job Description
The House Manager is responsible for the daily operations of one or two residential homes, including supervision of DSPs, coordination of care, documentation, family communication, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, cultural awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance support with accountability.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, professional, and committed to person-centered practices. This role is demanding and difficult to perform effectively while holding other employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Directly supervise all Direct Support Professionals assigned to the home.
Utilize JCS’ automated time and attendance system to document and maintain accurate client records.
Provide individualized and outstanding support and services to people with developmental disabilities.
Ensure the home is well-maintained and organized to reflect the interests and personal tastes of the residents.
Manage house schedule to ensure proper coverage at all times.
Duty Statements:
Actively participate in the hiring and onboarding process of DSPs.
Complete injury and incident reports and other organization records as necessary.
Assist in maintaining a family-style household and provide a safe environment.
Maintain balanced house hours and dollars on a regular basis.
Hold regular house meetings and meet with each supervisee on a regular basis for supervisory meetings.
Required:
• Current MD driver’s license
• Minimum age: 21 years old
• Acceptable driving record and 2 years of US verifiable driving experience
• Must have access to reliable transportation with valid insurance (may be required to use your own vehicle to transport individuals as needed)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two-year experience in a supervisory role, five years DSP experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekdays and/or weekend
• Sensitivity to Jewish Culture
Pay Range- $21.00- $23.00
Preferred:
• A valid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification, verifiable through MBON and/or from Dimensional Health Care Associates, Inc
• First Aid/CPR (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council)
