Benefits to You

  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.

Position Highlights

The Washington County Circuit Court in Hillsboro, Oregon, is hiring a Treatment Court Program Assistant (Program Assistant).

In this role, you will help evaluate applicants’ eligibility for treatment court program participation and submit determinations for approval. In collaboration with the treatment court team, you will monitor participants’ progress and enter incentives and sanctions into the electronic case management system. You will perform data entry, update program participants’ information, and prepare the treatment court dockets. You will maintain databases related to housing, restitution payments, and graduations. You will spend part of your time attending program participants’ court appearances to provide and collect information about their progress.

Additionally, you will help facilitate the exchange of information among judges, court managers and staff, public and private organizations, program participants, and other interested parties to help participants and improve our treatment court program. You will recommend supportive services and resources to program participants and will help conduct an annual participant satisfaction survey. You will also help plan treatment court program events and graduation ceremonies.

Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

(These must be evident in your resume or work history.)

The qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social/human services, or a closely related field.

AND

One (1) year of increasingly responsible technical or professional-level program experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
 

OR

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to five (5) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Requested Skills and Attributes

  • Working knowledge of community resources available to Treatment Court program participants.

  • Experience using a computer and case management system to organize data, perform research and analysis, and present findings to a supervisor or group.

  • Experience writing reports and other documents that provide analyses and recommendations.

  • Experience and skill in explaining program requirements, guidelines, and procedures.

  • Experience and skill in performing multiple tasks accurately, and, at times, in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule currently is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.

  • Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.

  • Hybrid work is available for this position. All hybrid work assignments begin, end, or change only with administrative authority approval. In-person attendance may be required regardless of any prior-approved and scheduled remote workdays. This position requires frequent use of on-camera video, instant messaging, email, and phone, and you must have reliable Internet service.

  • Frequent phone, in-person, and email contact with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • In-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances, highly stressful situations, or trauma, including people who are angry, hostile, confused, or frustrated. Tact and sensitivity are required.

  • Long periods of sitting or standing while working at a computer.

  • Lifting office materials or equipment that weighs up to 25 pounds.

  • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
