Inventory Control Technician
Job Description
• This position supports manufacturing and the QC testing laboratories by managing the pickup and delivery of testing samples and the storage backup samples and retention samples
• The person must be detailed oriented, have the ability to work effectively with other groups, able to prioritize and have an understanding of cGMPs
• Familiarity with LIMS is preferred. Some flex time will be required
• Primary responsibility is to coordinate the receipt and delivery of samples from designated sample ports to the QC laboratories or QC GMP areas
• This requires walking for long periods of time and the use of LWLIMS to maintain the sample COC
• Maintaining sample inventory for backup samples and retain samples
• Discard of backup samples
• Drug Product inspections.
• Maintaining sample storage units by transferring product, submitting work orders and follows through on the repair and use of units
• Data entry and the distribution of inventory reports.
• High School Diploma
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to work independently
• GMP experience and customer service a plus
• Physical requirement of no less than 75% walking as part of regular sample handling/delivery. Must be able to lift 15 – 40 pounds to remove sample racks or prepare archive boxes.
