De rol

Als Senior Compliance Officer ben je een inhoudelijke aanvulling binnen het team. Je fungeert als sparringpartner voor senior stakeholders, neemt eigenaarschap over complexe dossiers en draagt actief bij aan de verdere professionalisering van de compliance‑functie.

Je hebt een scherp oog voor risico’s, begrijpt de commerciële context en weet complexe regelgeving te vertalen naar werkbare, proportionele oplossingen.

Verantwoordelijkheden

In deze senior rol werk je met een hoge mate van zelfstandigheid, en is een hands-on mentaliteit onontbeerlijk. Wat verwachten wij van jou?

• Proactief identificeren van compliance- en integriteitsrisico’s.
• Vertalen van wet- en regelgeving naar duidelijke, praktische toepassingen.
• Bijdragen aan beleidsontwikkeling, thematische reviews en impactanalyses.
• Eigenaarschap nemen over complexe compliance- en integriteitsvraagstukken, met focus op Product Governance.
• Optreden als kritische sparringpartner voor business, productmanagement en marketing.
• Beoordelen en challengen van bestaande Product Governance processen en aannames waar nodig, onder meer ten aanzien van productontwikkeling, target market bepaling en distributiestrategieën.
• Marketinguitingen toetsen op juistheid, volledigheid en naleving van relevante wet- en regelgeving.
• Versterken van de compliance cultuur via kennisdeling en awareness.

Jouw profiel

• Je bent een ervaren professional met een sterk analytisch vermogen en een overtuigende communicatiestijl.
• Je hebt bij voorkeur een juridische achtergrond en een opleiding tot compliance professional (of vergelijkbaar) afgerond.
• Minimaal 7 – 10 jaar relevante ervaring binnen de financiële sector.
• Sterke analytische en conceptuele vaardigheden.
• Ervaring met complexe dossiers en senior stakeholdermanagement.
• Je hebt aantoonbare kennis van Product Governance en ervaring met het beoordelen marketinguitingen en juridische interpretatie.
• Je beschikt over uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in zowel de Nederlandse als de Engelse.

The role

As Senior Compliance Officer, you bring substantive expertise to the team. You act as a sparring partner for senior stakeholders, take ownership of complex cases, and actively contribute to the further professionalization of the compliance function. You have a sharp eye for risks, understand the commercial context, and can translate complex regulations into workable, proportionate solutions.

Responsibilities

In this senior role, you work with a high degree of independence, and a hands‑on mindset is essential. What do we expect from you?

• Proactively identifying compliance and integrity risks.
• Translating laws and regulations into clear, practical applications.
• Contributing to policy development, thematic reviews, and impact analyses.
• Taking ownership of complex compliance and integrity matters, with a focus on Product Governance.
• Acting as a critical sparring partner for business, product management, and marketing.
• Assessing and challenging existing Product Governance processes and assumptions, including product development, target market definition, and distribution strategies.
• Reviewing marketing communications for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthening the compliance culture through knowledge sharing and awareness initiatives.

Your profile

• You are an experienced professional with strong analytical skills and a convincing communication style.
• Preferably, you have a legal background and have completed a compliance‑related qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 7–10 years of relevant experience in the financial sector.
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
• Experience with complex cases and senior stakeholder management.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Product Governance and experience reviewing marketing communications and legal interpretation.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
