Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider – physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner – in the medical office setting.  Responsibilities of the role include:

 

Clinical Functions:

Administrative Functions:

·Taking patients to rooms

·Greeting patients

·Obtaining vital signs

·Scheduling appointments

·Performing phlebotomy

·Answering phones

·Obtaining lab specimens

·Clerical & computer work

·Adhering to safety and infection guidelines 

·Faxing

·Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR)

·Disability & Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork

 


Qualifications

No experience required. We provide comprehensive on the job training. If you want to learn more about the role, are passionate about taking care of patients and our community, we encourage you to apply.

 

Desired:

  • One year Nursing Assistant, PCA or MA

  • High School Diploma or GED;

  • Certified Medical Assistant Desired: Certification or National Registry as a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
