o $2.25 / hr Field Premium
o $3.50 / hr Continuous Shift Premium
o $3.50 / hr Night shift Premium

Job Description:
Take on a role where your skills and passion keep equipment moving. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic with the Alberta Mobile Team, you’ll troubleshoot and perform running repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and perform preventative maintenance across a wide range of Caterpillar Equipment.
Your work will include:
- Field diagnosis and running repairs of Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar equipment, in field environment (possibility of remote locations)
- Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification (On-Road & Off Road)
- Dual Tickets will be an asset
- 3+ years demonstrated experience in a Field Truck
- Valid driver's license with a successful recent driver abstract
- Previous Caterpillar experience is an asset
- Willingness to participate and complete additional training
- Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
Important Information:
- This role supports our customers throughout Alberta and NWT
- Shift is 14 x 14 or 7 x 7
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, Fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
