Job Description
The Starbucks Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the in-store Starbucks operation, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, strong financial performance, and full compliance with Starbucks and company standards. This role drives sales, develops partners (employees), and maintains a clean, welcoming, and efficiently run environment.
Key Responsibilities- Store Operations
- Oversee daily Starbucks operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Maintain brand standards for beverage quality, food safety, and store presentation
- Ensure proper opening, closing, and cash handling procedures are followed
- Customer Experience
- Deliver and uphold the Starbucks customer-first experience
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Foster a welcoming, clean, and energized café environment
- Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, schedule, train, and develop Starbucks partners
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and recognition
- Build a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture
- Sales & Financial Performance
- Drive sales through product availability, promotions, and suggestive selling
- Manage labor to align with business needs and productivity goals
- Monitor and control costs including waste and shrink
- Merchandising & Standards
- Execute merchandising displays and promotional setups
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas
- Inventory & Ordering
- Manage inventory to ensure product availability while minimizing waste
- Oversee ordering, receiving, and proper storage
- Ensure proper rotation and freshness standards are followed
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Adhere to all Starbucks and company operating procedures
- Maintain a safe environment for customers and associates
- Previous coffee, food service, or retail management experience required
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
