Main responsibilities:
- Support the Grocery Manager in overseeing daily operations of the grocery department, including Frozen, Dairy, and Liquor/Beer
- Supervise, train, and develop associates to ensure high performance and strong customer service
- Execute ordering, receiving, pricing, stocking, and merchandising of products
- Monitor inventory levels, control shrink, and ensure proper product rotation and freshness
- Promote and deliver excellent customer service, resolving customer concerns professionally
- Open and close the store and oversee store operations in the absence of Store Director or Grocery Manager
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and sanitation guidelines
- Prepare work plans and delegate tasks to ensure efficient operations and completion of priorities
- Handle cash accountability processes and maintain proper cash handling procedures
- Respond to operational issues and emergencies, ensuring continuity of store operations

Abilities:
- Ability to lead and supervise teams effectively
- Ability to make decisions and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate retail systems including registers, scanners, and ordering systems
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move items up to approximately 80 lbs and operate equipment such as pallet jacks and carts

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision when necessary
Other requirements:
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and adherence to company policies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand retail environment
- Knowledge of and compliance with employment laws and company workplace policies
- Must maintain professional appearance and follow grooming and dress standards
- Ability to respond to emergencies and support overall store operations as needed
