Job Description

- Perform installations of fire alarm and clean agent/special hazard suppression systems according to ORR work instructions and applicable codes.
- Take a lead role at customer sites, providing oversight and direction to other ORR technicians or sub-contractors.
- Work with the Project Manager and Install Coordinator to keep the customer informed on job progress.
- Complete all necessary job-related paperwork for compliance and documentation.
- Respond to emergency service requests and take appropriate action.
- Perform in depth trouble shooting, repair and replacement of system equipment.
- Conduct training with customer on the functionality of the fire system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Five years’ experience in service and/or installation of fire alarm or special hazard fire suppression systems, required.
- Experience reading blue prints, required.
- Fire alarm programming experience, required.
- Associate degree in electronics or related field, preferred.
- NICET Fire Alarm Level II certification, required.
- NICET Special Hazards Level II certification, preferred
- Journeyman EL06 license, required
- Experience with the following manufacturers: Kidde, Fenwal, Notifier, Fike, FCI, preferred.
- Experience with intelligent fire control panel programming software.
- Knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft and standard internet usage.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to lead a team effectively.
- Demonstrated customer service mindset.
- This is a remote position that would be deployed from the associate’s home to local job sites for installs, service, or repairs.
- Company vehicle, tools, technology, and equipment provided.
- Occasional on-call days and/or overtime required for unscheduled service needs.
- Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places.
- Overnight travel required up to 30% of the time.

Pay Range: $50 - $60 per hour
