Job Description:
The Quality Specialist monitors and promotes conformance to quality standards, investigates and recommends quality system actions in response to nonconforming events, identifies opportunities for continuous improvement activities and supports the establishment of and adherence to Kinetico’s Quality Management System.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Program new parts into the OGP vision system, optimizing measurement paths and parameters for efficient and reliable inspection. Identify and lead quality related improvement activities within the department and contribute expertise to improvement activities in adjacent departments. Lead or participate in quality related special projects or assignments that are either individually or team driven. Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devise methods to assess cost and responsibility. Interpret engineering drawings and develop, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for product evaluation. Perform technical analysis of data and develop graphical representation of results. Contribute to the development, documentation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System. Assist in the creation of job instructions to assist operators in performing assigned tasks. Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment. Identify and illustrate inspection procedures, indicating areas to be examined, measuring devices to be used, and maximum and minimum acceptable criteria. Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge of product. Monitor production procedures to ensure conformance to engineering specifications. Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities. Select products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for a variety of qualities, such as dimensions and performance characteristics. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe and clean work area.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- High School Diploma required, an associate degree or an ASQ Certification preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- ISO 9001:2015 Certified Auditor Training.
- Experience with CAD programs.
- Experience programming parts into an OGP vision system, developing inspection routines, and training personnel in program use preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment with quality responsibilities.
- Experience with developing, implementing, or supporting a Quality Management System.
- Demonstrated ability to perform and provide expertise across a wide range of processes and testing procedures.
- Ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong mental and visual attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
- Ability to use calibrated gages, tools, and fixtures.
