Patients of all ages may require therapy and care. It is important that our clinical staff accurately determine the therapy needs for each patient and that they provide that care properly, pleasantly and efficiently. Our Therapy Services Supervisor ensures the patient care meets quality standards, runs smoothly, and addresses each individual patient’s needs accurately.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Split position between Franciscan Health Lafayette East/Inpatient & YMCA Lafayette/Outpatient

  • Patient Care: • Evaluates the day-to-day operations for designated practice areas or disciplines, as assigned, to support resource allocation to patient care needs. • Performs comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning. • Treatment Plan Development: Develops a treatment plan with measurable goals based on patient assessment • Goal Re-Assessment & Discharge Planning: Completes appropriate goal re-assessment and discharge planning. • Provides therapy, including selection and use of assistive/adaptive equipment. • Trains and educates patients, family members and/or other support to ensure understanding of treatment plan and goals.
  • Patient Records and Charges: Documents and submits patient reports and charges within the established timeframe.
  • Coordination of Care Collaboration: Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care.
  • Supervision: Supervises Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs within respective scope of practice.
  • Program and People Management Activities: • Participates in people management activities for direct team members such as schedules, payroll, conducting performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews. • Coordinates staffing schedule to provide volume and patient-specific need-based staffing; adapts schedule to adjust for staff shortages ensuring adequate staffing for quality patient care. • Manages the day-to-day operations for designated therapies.
  • Compliance: • Identifies areas for performance improvement and program development. • Compiles and analyzes therapy clinical outcomes data to ensure compliance with established goals and regulations. • Conducts audits, identifies corrective action, and initiates follow-up to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • Complaints Management: Investigates, evaluates, and resolves concerns of customers and keeps the next level of management informed of significant developments.
  • Practice Deviation: Identifies potential deviations and effectively intervenes when deviations from established practice are identified.
  • Performance Management: Supervises the work of others and manages the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations.


Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy Occupational therapy or Speech therapy
  • Required Master's Degree Physical Therapy Occupational therapy or Speech therapy
  • 3 years Clinical experience Required
  • 2 years Leadership experience Preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
  • Physical Therapist (PT) - State Licensing Board
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) - State Licensing Board
  • Speech Pathologist (SPE) - State Licensing Board
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) - ASHA (American Speech-Lanuage-Hearing Association) for Speech Language Pathologists
  • Certified as required by specialization - .
