Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Cash Receipts Specialist to join our growing team in Garden City, NY 

   

The Cash Receipts Specialist is responsible for managing producer accounting activities, including account cash application and reconciliation, balance resolution, premium corrections, and return premium processing. Collaborate with producers and underwriting teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records. 

 

How You Will contribute: 

  • Responsible for posting daily cash deposits received in a variety of ways (EPAY/ACH/Lockbox/Physical Checks etc..). 

  • Responsible for research and proper posting of misapplied/unapplied funds. 

  • Research and resolve credits on account either through proper application or refund processing. 

  • Responsible for first outreach regarding past due/bad debt collections. 

  • Assists with DNOC/Cancellation processing and follow-ups. 

  • Applying and contacting agents and/or underwriting with discrepancies. 

  • Assists with corrections and day-to-day accounting issues with underwriting teams. 

  • Answer questions from agents regarding balances & work with them on getting issues resolved. 

  • Cross-trained accounting functions to help fill-in covering vacations, illness, or any other absence. 

  • May perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 

Required 

  • School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one – three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Proficient with MS Office 

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor 

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. 

 

Preferred:  

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field preferred. 

  • Insurance experience preferred.

Pay Range

28.00 - 30.00 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
