Key Responsibilities:

Press Activities, Media Relations, and Collaborations

  • Coordinate publicity campaigns to promote LHG’s messages through channels like press conferences, media interviews, briefing sessions, familiarisation trips, social media, and media events.
  • Liaise with hotels on press enquiries, multi-property campaigns, global partnerships and collaborations.
  • Work with departments and hotels to formulate multi-property story angles, develop key messages and talking points for corporate and industry events, programmes, and campaigns.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with media and maintain media databases.
  • Proactively pitch for positive social and traditional media coverage.
  • Work closely with agencies to plan and implement Group/multi-property PR campaigns and initiatives.
  • Support LHG initiatives at the corporate level such as ESG activities, awards, recognitions and submissions.
  • Support corporate PR consultants/agencies to guide hotels in executing media plans and strategies for traditional and social media channels.
  • Contribute to PR/communications meetings to disseminate corporate news and share best practices from other regions.
  • Contribute to a detailed media account management system, including maintaining accurate press lists, distributing targeted press releases, ongoing review of media needs, and initiation of newsworthy stories.
  • Proactively develop corporate and brand stories to reinforce the company’s global reputation.
  • Provide communications support during crises or sensitive issues, ensuring timely, accurate and aligned messaging for external and internal audiences.

 Content Creation and Management

  • Develop content such as advertorials, press releases, speeches, presentations, scripts, talking points, opinion pieces, executive messaging, thought leadership materials, media statements, internal memos, award entries, social media posts, video scripts, and internal communications content.
  • Translate content between English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
  • Oversee content development vendors
  • Source, commission, and manage external content contributors (e.g., agencies, writers, video production teams) to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Serve as editorial lead to oversee contributor output, maintaining consistency in tone, messaging, and factual integrity.
  • Develop and manage a centralised content hub for evergreen assets for global use and adaptation.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive editorial calendar.
  • Participate in strategic planning and creative ideation sessions to drive content alignment with Groupwide initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, social media, creative, brand marketing and digital teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives and maximise reach and impact.

 Digital and Owned Channels Management

  • Communicate timely corporate communications updates with the website team
  • Manage the Group’s LinkedIn account, curating content to strengthen corporate reputation and amplify leadership visibility.
  • Support selected senior leaders in managing their LinkedIn accounts to enhance visibility and elevate the Group’s brand presence.

Reporting

  • Performance Data Gathering, Analysis, and Reporting
  • Engage with local, regional, and global teams to gather hotel media/KOL performance data.
  • Track Group media coverage, particularly for the Asia Pacific region.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, shortfalls, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop performance reports, including quarterly reports for owners, monthly reports, ad hoc reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Review news monitoring portals daily and highlight significant clippings.
  • Monitor content effectiveness using relevant metrics and provide regular performance analysis for improvements.

Budget Processing and Monitoring

  • Lead the budget application process for public relations, corporate communications, and consumer communications activities.
  • Engage with vendors and LHG’s Finance team to clarify budgetary items.
  • Monitor budget spend to ensure alignment with plans.
  • Track and manage content-related budgets in accordance with approved plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience in communications/PR, corporate communications, content creation, media relations, or related fields, preferably from multinational companies with regional/international exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing facts and figures, pitching stories to media, creating content for consumer facing brands, managing content vendors, internal communications, executive communications, digital/social media management, corporate websites, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Background in engaging with overseas markets and parties, ideally in business settings.
  • Proven track record in English-language writing, editing, and communications across corporate and media environments.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; fluent command of written and spoken Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) is essential.
  • Proactive, independent, curious mindset with a passion for storytelling.
  • Well-organised with strong project management skills and aptitude for assessing/prioritising assignments and competing deadlines.
  • Social media savvy and proficient in generative AI tools.
  • Collaborative, culturally astute, adaptable, resilient and able to influence at leadership levels.
  • General understanding of communications and earned media's role in marketing.
