Asset Protection Specialist
Job Description
A Day in the Life:
As the Asset Protection Specialist, your work is steady, structured, and guided by clear expectations. You focus on preventing loss and controlling shrink by monitoring store activity for fraud, compliance discrepancies, and other risk-related behaviors. You identify concerns using video surveillance and other systems, then respond using policy, documentation, and communication as your primary tools.
This is a safety-first, hands-off role. Your success comes from observation, de-escalation, accurate reporting, and following process. When apprehension is appropriate, it is handled only in accordance with company policy, local and state laws, and with safety as the prevailing priority. You also support store leaders by reinforcing safe practices and strengthening compliance routines that reduce risk over time.
The outcome: a store that is safe and secure for customers, associates, and business partners, and a role where professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment are valued every day. If this has captured your attention, let’s talk.
What you bring to the table:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You have experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or related experience where policy, safety, and decision-making matter. If you do not have the experience listed, we welcome you to apply if you have the desire to learn and help us follow policies and safety.
- You take pride in doing the work the right way—whether the task is visible or behind the scenes.
- You put the safety and welfare of yourself and others first and are comfortable taking the conservative, policy-aligned path.
- Working in varying environments doesn’t faze you—whether in store or the outside perimeter.
- You approach challenges in a calm, respectful, and professional manner.
- You enjoy building relationships and teaching/coaching others to follow standards, reduce risk, and stay compliant.
