Band, Dance and Marching

POSITION OVERVIEW: Provide instruction to the students of the Marching Band program.        

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Provides instruction in marching techniques and drill performance.
• As required, provides coaching of instrumental sections of the band.
• Travels with the marching band to competitions and away games as designated by the marching band director.
• Performs such other related duties as the Principal may from time to time assign.     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experienced in contemporary marching band or drum corps style field performances.
• Competency in either brass or woodwind instruction (as determined by the marching band instructor on an annual basis.)
• Experience in contemporary drill writing.
• Such other qualifications as the Board may deem advisable.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year as determined by the New London Board of Education.
