Job Description
About the Team The infrastructure team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyper-scale data centers as well as vastly distributed global edge networks. To support the fast growth and manage the massive content on the platform, our infrastructure team is building hyper-scale data centers globally which host hundreds of thousands of servers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of the Build, Operations and Maintenance Plans for all global entity PoPs
- Work on operational issues including RMA and repairs for all network and server equipment.
- Drive and manage multiple projects around optimizing PoP build outs, improving documentation and building new tools
- Lead Day 2 Operations, Repair Troubleshooting, and Maintenance improvement strategies
- Design and deliver large-scale network projects composed of dark fiber, leased waves, IP transit and peering circuits, colo space, power, cross connects, point of presence and content delivery networks build
- Work on optimizing operational processes and designing more efficient workflows
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering or any equivalent technical field
- Knowledge of co-location infrastructure including facilities, site selection, operations
- Knowledge of Linux and hardware systems
Preferred qualifications
- 3 years of experience in network infrastructure space, related to solutions and/or project management experience in CDN and/or telecom-related field
- 3 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
- Technical experience in telecommunication networks including Fixed Network, Transmission and IP Technologies(IPT, IX, Peering)
- 3 years of experience in edge infrastructure related fields
- Excellent communication. Ability to express ideas clearly and provide effective remote technical guidance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of co-location infrastructure including facilities, site selection, operations
- Enjoys solving technical problems and challenges.
