Reports to: Head of FP&A 

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Senior Manager, Workforce Planning and Productivity leads enterprise workforce planning and productivity strategy in partnership with Operations and Finance. Serves as a strategic leader and thought partner to Operations and executive leadership, driving enterprise-wide workforce strategies that optimize capacity, productivity, and service outcomes. This role is responsible for defining and evolving workforce planning frameworks, leading advanced forecasting and capacity models, and translating complex data into forward-looking, actionable insights that shape staffing strategies and business performance.

As a key driver of productivity transformation, this leader identifies and scales opportunities across programs, ensuring alignment with organizational growth, financial objectives, and patient experience goals.

The role requires strong executive presence, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and leads the organization’s workforce planning and productivity strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and long-term growth plans 
  • Serves as a primary advisor to senior and executive leadership on workforce capacity, productivity, and operational performance 
  • Leads cross-functional initiatives to improve workforce efficiency, scalability, and service delivery outcomes across the organization 
  • Establishes governance, standards, and best practices for workforce planning, forecasting, and productivity measurement 
  • Mentors and develops team members or cross-functional partners, building organizational capability in workforce analytics and planning
  • Leads the design and evolution of workforce planning tools and models ensuring scalability, standardization, and alignment with enterprise needs. Partners in the development and ongoing maintenance of the workforce capacity model, collaborating with department leaders to build and implement staffing models and headcount forecasts that ensure PANTHERx is appropriately resourced to support both new and existing patient programs.
  • Builds, maintains, tracks, and leverages productivity metrics to proactively and flexibly manage staffing and capacity between programs for both mature and recent launches. 
  • Translates volume and productivity projections into clear forward-looking staffing recommendations, providing leaders with actionable guidance on hiring, redeployment, and timing of resource changes. Highlights risks, trade-offs and recommended actions. 
  • Monitors actual performance against forecasted headcount and productivity, identifies variances and makes recommendations for adjustments as needed to support service levels and efficiency goals.
  • Analyzes volume trends, program dynamics, and operational drivers to refine staffing assumptions and improve forecast accuracy over time. Identifies root causes of variances, incorporating learnings into future projections.
  • Leads executive-level presentations synthesizing complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations. support informed decision-making.
  • Incorporates hiring lead times, onboarding curves, and productivity ramp assumptions into staffing projections to ensure timely and efficient capacity planning. Provides staffing projections to FP&A partners as part of regular forecast and plan revisions. 
  • Partners with operations and technology to champion the integration of technology and automation to transform workforce planning, productivity tracking, and operational efficiency.
  • Partners with others in FP&A to incorporate accurate workforce projections in planning and forecasting. 
  • Actively participates in process improvement initiatives, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Leverages KPIs and data to proactively monitor efficacy of process and technology changes to assess their impact on operational performance, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Works with data and analytics team to develop and maintain comprehensive performance metrics dashboards to monitor key operational indicators, identify trends, and assess performance against established benchmarks. 
  • Effectively aligns individual projects with broader organizational objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a similar field. 
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in FP&A or workforce planning.
  • Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office and data visualization skills (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). 
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to drive results through reliable analytical insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborative team player with the capacity to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong ability to translate complex strategic concepts into actionable and practical plans, with an ability to convey large and/or complex information effectively to diverse stakeholders in support of organizational objectives. 
  • Proven ability to extract insights from working with large, evolving data sets. 
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks and build trust and confidence across functional groups of stakeholders. 
  • Possesses a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • A proactive communicator who shares timely information and escalates potential issues or risks.

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Pharma, healthcare or pharmacy experience.
  • Minimum of one year management experience.

Work Environment

This position operates in a home or professional office environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
