Convention Utility Porter - Banquets - Steady Extra (Caesars Palace LV)

The Utility Porter fulfills all deep cleaning, scrubbing, and heavy work in the Convention Department. Team Member can be expected to perform tasks ranging from disposal of trash and soiled linens to work requiring the use of ladders, lifts and motorized carts.

• Vacuum all carpet and fabric surfaces according to cleaning schedules.
• Pan-sweep floors in assigned area.
• Clean all high areas including ceiling items/excluding smoke detectors when assigned to guest rooms and halls.
• Clean all low areas as needed including wall sockets, pictures, door stoppers, exposed plumbing, base boards and window sills when assigned to guest rooms and halls.
• Collect soiled linen from chutes for pick-up by linen company (only when on linen duty).
 

• Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.

• Work requires flexibility to work various shifts.
• Work requires attention to detail and must have visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work requires ability to lift and carry approximately 110 - 120 pounds and ability to push and/or pull approximately 300 - 400 pounds on wheels.
• Work requires visual abilities needed to safely operate motorized equipment.
• Work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with frequent public interaction.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and stop for long durations. 
• Flexible shifts based on business needs
• Tolerance for secondary tobacco smoke
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy. 
• Must wear the designated uniform
• Must be able to listen and respond to visual and verbal/sound cues. 
• Ability to move quickly and easily around noisy, high-volume establishments
