Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer to join the team in Thailand on a regular basis.

- Perform stress calculations and support design and prepare material requisitions and technical evaluation of the special support items in accordance with the applicable Technical Work Practices
- Execute of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, client & projects standards
- Sign and approve of analysis reports, calculations, datasheets etc. in accordance with correct procedures
- Ensure engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of analysis and reports, calculations, support design etc.
- Adhere to design safety and adopting safe attitudes towards engineering design and raising features affecting the safety and integrity of the project with appropriate authorities
- Correct implementation of input and output data using analysis software on their appointed projects
- Carry out stress analysis for all critical lines and check the support design till Isometric stage
- Check of the Stress calculations prepared by other Pipe Stress Engineers and following the applicable work instructions
- File drawings and documents according to the instructions of Lead Pipe Stress Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant and proven experience, in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical / Power Plants / Offshore
- Experience in pipe layout, piping materials and direct experiences to stress analysis with Caesar II
- Familiar and hands-on experience with design and drafting tools like SmartPlant 3D or E3D, MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Good command in English and Thai communication
- Holding professional / institution memberships as appropriate to level of qualification
