We’re seeking a passionate, motivated, and detail‑oriented Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our kitchen team on a 12‑month maternity cover contract. In this role, you will support the Pastry team in delivering high‑quality desserts, baked goods, and patisserie items, ensuring consistency, creativity, and presentation meet our luxury standards. You will play an important part in maintaining a smooth and efficient pastry operation while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
What You Will Do
Assist in the preparation and presentation of a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods to the highest standards
Support the Chef de Partie and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations within the pastry section
Ensure all mise en place is prepared efficiently and in line with service requirements
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section at all times
Follow recipes and portion controls accurately to ensure consistency and minimise waste
Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and inventory management within the section
Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and in line with brand standards
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery.
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or similar culinary role is desirable
A genuine passion for pastry, baking, and dessert preparation
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of presentation
Good organisational and time‑management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the role
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
