Job Description
The Opportunity:
Under minimal supervision, perform duties to set up and conduct testing on electro-optical systems while being subjected to environmental stresses such as vacuum, temperature, and vibration.
This position supports a rotating 4-on, 4-off schedule from 6:00AM - 6:30PM.
Responsibilities:
- This position will require an understanding of complex assemblies and processes dealing with environmental testing.
- Set up and perform varied electro-optical tests while subjecting products to environmental stresses.
- Maintain and complete detailed test procedures and data analysis.
- Set up, perform, and support other environmental lab tests.
- Perform test equipment preventative maintenance activities.
- Maintain environmental chambers and related support equipment.
- Install and instrument the hardware to be tested. Maintain all test logs, update status board and
interface with test and quality engineers. - Work also includes maintaining the area (5S).
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience in an Environmental Test Lab
- Skilled in the operation of test lab equipment and the performance of testing
- Intermediate computer skills with ability to utilize standard business software (i.e. MS Office and Outlook)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Desired:
- Associates/Technical Degree (two years) - Preferred
- Experienced in the operation of test lab equipment (I.E. thermal-vacuum chambers)
- Hands-on experience in the operation and set up of computerized thermal control and data acquisition systems
- Experienced in the set up and performance of electrical, mechanical and optical functional testing following defined test procedures or as directed by engineering
- Hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of computerized vibration control and data acquisition systems including vibration exciters and amplifiers

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$49,900 - $100,000
