Scope and Responsibilities
The Manager will be responsible for executing and supporting operational activities within Internal Allocations and will have a strong understanding of the processes, documentation, deal closely with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires consistent collaboration with the Fund Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams, along with clear communication and a proactive leadership style.
Time Allocation Framework & Governance
• Manage the firm’s internal time allocation methodology across funds, co-invest vehicles, and management entities.
• Ensure allocations are consistent with LP agreements, side letters, regulatory requirements, and internal policy.
• Review and enhance allocation methodologies for accuracy, fairness, and defensibility.
• Maintain documentation supporting allocation assumptions and calculation logic.
Data Management & Analysis
• Oversee collection, validation, and reconciliation of time-reporting data.
• Monitor the shared team inbox for new requests and action items and respond in a timely manner.
• Address daily operational issues, identify root causes, and escalate critical issues in a timely manner.
• Liaise with department heads to ensure timely submission and approval of time entries for accurate accrual reporting.
• Analyze allocation trends, variances, and anomalies.
• Perform scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis related to staffing changes, fund lifecycle transitions, and new product launches.
• Partner with the Human Resources and Accounting teams to reconcile allocated personnel costs to payroll and general ledger.
Allocation Model Ownership
• Build, maintain, and optimize complex Excel-based allocation models.
• Develop scalable, auditable models with clear logic and controls.
• Identify areas where automation is appropriate.
• Partner with Technology to develop and enhance dashboards showcasing allocation methodologies.
• Ensure version control and model governance best practices.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
• Prepare allocation summaries and supporting analysis for senior leadership.
• Support fund accounting, FP&A, and related to personnel cost allocations.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to address audit or regulatory requests.
• Present findings clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Controls
• Identify and implement process efficiencies to reduce manual intervention and operational risk.
• Design and maintain control procedures around data inputs and model outputs.
• Work closely with IT to support system enhancements or potential migration from Excel-based tools to more automated platforms.
Experience Required
• 8–10 years of relevant experience within an asset management firm, investment bank, or other financial services organization.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to independently research issues and propose effective solutions.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with strong initiative and a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, charts, and complex formulas.
• Experience with Power BI or reporting dashboards is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to leverage firm-wide resources effectively and judiciously.
• Team-oriented mindset with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferred in Accounting or Finance
