Position Summary We are seeking an Investor & Stakeholder Communications Specialist to help shape how Optima Living communicates with its most important external audiences—including investors, boards, health authorities, and government partners. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications, this role sits at the intersection of communications, finance, and strategy. You'll translate complex financial and operational information into clear, compelling narratives for our most important external audiences—investors, boards, health authorities, and government partners. This is a high-visibility role requiring both strong execution and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities Executive, & Investor and Stakeholder Communications
Prepare board decks, investor presentations and collateral, quarterly fund decks and related communications, newsletters, and reporting materials that clearly communicate performance and strategy
Partner with senior leaders to prepare and manage investor-facing activities, including the Annual General Meeting, board meetings, reporting cycles, and ongoing communications
Translate financial information, valuations, and key metrics into clear and compelling narratives, both across written, visual, and multimedia channels
Support executive communications on external channels, such as LinkedIn, supporting profile-building and key message dissemination
Ensure brand alignment with all materials, serving as one of several brand guardians within the organization and working in close collaboration with the brand marketing team.
Stakeholder Communications
Support communications to a broad range of stakeholders, including health authorities and municipal/provincial governments
Contribute to developing a more structured and strategic approach to stakeholder communications
Support crisis communications planning and execution, bringing expertise related to external audiences
Strategic Improvement
Assess current communications and recommend improvements to messaging, storytelling, channels/formats, and cadence
Monitor industry trends, investor communications best practices, and stakeholder expectations
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with the Executive Team (Principals, CFO, COO, Head of Legal) and senior leaders across Finance, Analytics, Investments, Operations, and Communications
Coordinate inputs across teams to synthesize complex information into clear outputs
Manage agency outputs as needed
What We’re Looking For
3–6+ years of experience in corporate communications, investor relations, journalism, government relations, or a related field
Strong writing skills, including experience developing newsletters, reports, or executive-level communications
Story-first thinking, with the ability to weave an overarching storyline through visual, written, and multimedia materials
Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively
Proven ability to build high-quality presentations and translate numbers into clear visuals and narratives
Proficiency with PowerPoint and experience with tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working with senior executives and navigating a fast-paced, evolving environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
