Job Description

The Senior Scrum Master will lead the Salesforce team in Agile practices to deliver high-quality solutions for a large-scale enterprise environment supporting 5,000+ users. This role facilitates backlog refinement and delivery readiness by partnering with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and trusted vendors to define and prioritize work. The Senior Scrum Master also coach’s teams on Definition of Done, MVP thinking, and structured refinement practices to ensure consistent, value-driven delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Agile Leadership & Ceremonies
Lead Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring consistent cadence, engagement, and continuous improvement.

• Backlog Refinement & Readiness
Facilitate backlog refinement sessions by partnering with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure user stories are clearly defined, properly sized, and ready for development.

• Delivery Execution & Flow
Drive sprint execution by removing impediments, managing dependencies, and ensuring work progresses efficiently through the development lifecycle to meet sprint commitments.

• Stakeholder & Vendor Alignment
Act as a central point of coordination between internal teams and vendors to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and delivery expectations.

• Quality & Definition of Done Enforcement
Ensure all work meets established Definition of Done standards, including testing, validation, and documentation, to support stable and scalable technology solutions.

• Continuous Improvement & Coaching
Coach team members on Agile best practices, MVP thinking, and iterative delivery while identifying opportunities to improve team performance, processes, and overall delivery quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications. 

Education, Training, Certifications: 

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, preferred.
  • CSM or PSM certification required, or equivalent demonstrated Scrum Master experience.

Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile teams, with strong knowledge of Scrum principles, backlog refinement, and sprint execution, highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting or working within Salesforce environments (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Field Service), highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience managing work in Azure DevOps (or similar tools such as Jira), including Epics, User Stories, tasks, and sprint tracking, preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to align priorities and drive delivery outcomes.
  • Strong ability to identify and remove impediments, manage competing priorities, and maintain focus on delivering high-quality, business-aligned outcomes.
  • Experience supporting release management and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including testing, deployment support, and post-release validation in collaboration with technical teams, required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Systems and Software Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint for documentation and collaboration, required.
  • Familiarity with Agile reporting and delivery metrics, including sprint burndown, velocity, throughput, and team capacity tracking, preferred. 
  • Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile methodologies, preferred.
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery within complex enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and Oracle ERP/HCM environments, preferred. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, release coordination, and DevOps concepts in enterprise software delivery environments, preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees, customers, and senior leadership. Many audiences must be considered, including alignment among multiple stakeholders.

Other Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. 
  • Must be able to comply with SFPH’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
  • Occasional travel required, up to 10%.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods. Employee will occasionally be required to bend, kneel, balance, lift <20lb, walk, stand, ascend/descend stairs, drive, twist, and reach above and below shoulders. 

Work Environment:

Employee will consistently be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others. Office settings are mild to moderate temperatures.
