This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

How you will make your mark

  • HPEN Software Capitalization (SW Cap) Development and Governance (Primary Focus): Lead and enhance SW Cap processes, including identification of eligible costs, tracking of capitalization activity, and development of scalable frameworks to support ongoing capitalization efforts. Partner with Engineering and Controllership to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and alignment with project execution.
  • SOX, Audit, and Controls: Own and maintain robust internal control frameworks related to SW Cap and financial reporting. Support internal and external audits, ensure proper documentation, and proactively address control gaps to drive compliance with SOX requirements and accounting standards.
  • C&B OPEX Support and Management: Support planning, forecasting, and reporting of operating expenses, providing insights on spend variances and cost drivers while ensuring alignment with financial targets.
  • Integration Synergy and Cost Tracking: Track and report on integration synergies and cost savings initiatives, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting across integration activities.
  • Capital Optimization: Support capital allocation and investment prioritization efforts by evaluating project returns and improving overall capital efficiency.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a financial advisor to business leaders by translating financial data into insights, supporting scenario planning, and enabling informed decision-making.
  • Process Improvement and Data Management: Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, with a focus on integrated data solutions.

About you:

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • English communication skills
  • Experienced in more than one finance function .

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of audit processes, control walkthroughs, risk assessment, and coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and internal accounting policies governing capitalization and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to ensure accuracy, traceability, and auditability of data supporting financial results
  • Ability to partner effectively with Engineering, Controllership, and Audit teams to align operational execution with accounting and compliance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain technical accounting and control requirements to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, align priorities, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
