Join Our Community: Psychologist (Part-Time) – Orthopedics
Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time Psychologist to join our orthopedic practice in Somersworth, New Hampshire. This position will provide behavioral health support to patients receiving orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation specialists and other members of the care team.
The Psychologist will provide assessment, consultation, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support patients experiencing psychological, emotional, or behavioral factors that may impact recovery, pain management, functional outcomes and overall well-being.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for patients within the orthopedic practice.
- Provide individual counseling and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Support patients coping with chronic pain, injury recovery, adjustment to medical conditions and related behavioral health concerns.
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic providers and interdisciplinary team members to develop integrated treatment plans.
- Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in care coordination activities and clinical case discussions as appropriate.
- Provide education and resources to patients and families regarding behavioral health and wellness strategies.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology or a related field.
- Licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in the State of New Hampshire.
- Experience providing psychological assessment and therapeutic services in a healthcare or medical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with patients experiencing chronic pain, rehabilitation needs or medical illness is preferred.

The salary for this position is $145,600 annually, based on a full-time schedule. Compensation is prorated for part-time roles. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and internal equity.
