About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases, with a solid understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, cloud-native development, and DevOps practices. Experience with Angular is desirable to support full-stack collaboration and occasional UI enhancements. Hands-on experience with BPMN process modeling and Camunda is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and integrations.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and frontend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
• Ensure adherence to security, coding standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in: Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security, REST API development.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as: SQL Server, Oracle and SQL skills including, Query optimization, Indexing and Data modeling.
• Experience with: Microservices architecture, Docker and containerized deployments, Git source control, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Knowledge of messaging/event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Angular (Angular 12+ preferred) is a plus.
