Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has an exciting opportunity for an Data Analyst to join our growing team. This hybrid role is based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC.
Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $62,400- $78,000 with a 37.5-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity. Westland also offers a competitive annual short-term incentive program that enables employees to share in the rewards of the business and emphasizes the measures that are key to our success.

Why we’ll love You:
You strive to understand the data and love seeking ways to improve the quality of the data and reporting
You enjoy collaborating with others to identify and prioritize use cases for analysis and build out models to answer business questions
You love numbers and have a strong background in math, statistics or equivalent such as a bachelor’s degree in those areas or related fields
You can translate complex information and findings for business leaders
At least two years’ experience in a data analytics role
Previous experience with data analysis and modeling using SQL, R, and Python
Bonus: Experience in P&C insurance
Bonus: Experience using data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or Microsoft FabricBonus: Experience with Git based version control on platforms such as GitHub or Azure DevOps
