About ICAP
ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, provides a wide variety of execution and information services to wholesale market participants.
We offer broking services covering a wide range of asset classes, including Commodities, Credit, Equities, FX, Money Market Funds and Rates.
For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades
Responsibilities:
Promote ICAP as a company
Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk
Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems
Assist in arranging and executing trades from client orders and as directed by a broker;
Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies
Keep trade records up to date.
Update real-time manual / electronic whiteboards with market data
Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders
Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis
Give live quotes to traders through the messaging systems
Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments
Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures
Interact with Industry Clearinghouse to ensure trade completion, monitor for errors and fails and take corrective action
Liaise with clients, (via telephone and face to face) to understand the business objectives of your clients as to provide a reliable and efficient broking service
Develop new business with existing clients and on-board new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team
Experience/Competencies
Essential
Experience in Broker-dealer Operations (2-4 years)
Comfortable working with back and middle-office processing platforms
Proficiency in mathematics
Keen interest in the financial market and economy
Hard working and willingness to learn
Build relationships both internally and externally wherever possible
