Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Software Engineer to join the development of an advanced Industrial AI platform that combines Industrial Connectivity, Edge Computing, Cloud Technologies, and AI-driven solutions. 

This is a highly technical, hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys designing and building software, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership of features from concept through production. 

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering software components that collect and process industrial data, integrate with manufacturing systems, leverage AI technologies, and provide actionable insights and optimization capabilities in near real-time. 

This is not a people-management or technical leadership role. We are looking for a strong individual contributor who can independently drive complex development efforts, collaborate across multiple teams, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Hybrid role – Herzliya / Caesarea / 1 day a week from home 

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of a modern Industrial AI platform. 
• Take ownership of complex features from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and support. 
• Write high-quality, production-grade software with a strong focus on maintainability, scalability, and reliability. 
• Create detailed technical designs for the components and services you own. 
• Collaborate with software engineers, AI and Data Science teams, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. 
• Integrate AI capabilities into software products through APIs and platform services. 
• Develop solutions that operate across Edge and Cloud environments. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple system components. 
• Contribute to software quality, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Participate in design discussions and ensure that developed solutions align with the overall platform architecture. 

Minimum Qualifications

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 
• 5+ years experience in software development and delivery of complex software systems. 
• Strong hands-on development experience with Python. 
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable software solutions. 
• Experience working with AWS cloud services. 
• Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications. 
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating distributed systems. 
• Experience working with cloud-based applications and services. 
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and software design skills. 
• Ability to independently own and deliver complex technical features. 
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple technical disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with MongoDB. 
• Experience integrating software platforms with AI/ML solutions. 
• Experience working with AWS services such as: 
  • SageMaker 
  • S3 
  • AWS IoT Greengrass 
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices. 
• Experience with real-time or near real-time data processing systems. 
• Experience with Operational Technology (OT), OPC UA, PLCs, or SCADA is a strong advantage. 
• Familiarity with frontend development technologies is a plus.
