The Flooring Sales Specialist is an integral part of our back-end operation services. With a focus in customer service, the flooring associate engages and assists customers with suggestive selling for their products and sharing product knowledge along with providing them with exceptional service.
Typical career steps are to move to a specialized role in project or contractor sales.
- Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
- Clarify and understand customers’ needs and take them to the best solution(s) for their projects.
- Demonstrating high standards of safety within their department and the store
- Maintain store standards
- Document all sales activities in company CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and keep current
- Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions
- Stay updated about latest products trends and market conditions
- Strong communication, team player, and inter-personal skills
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Willing to learn product knowledge
- Experience in sales is an asset
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite is an asset
- Knowledge of Lumber Building Materials is an asset
