Job Description
OVERVIEW
The Production Planner coordinates demand management, production capacity, and inventory management to ensure optimal production flow. This includes maintaining and adjusting production plans based on market trends and operational data, updating planning systems with accurate information, and preparing weekly reports to track performance. The role also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· In coordination with the Production Planning team, regularly review production scenarios to ensure order book targets are met.
· Act as a point of contact between Sales teams and Plant Production teams to continuously align sales forecasts with machine capacity.
· Ensure data integrity and maintain weekly and monthly reports required for the S&OP cycle.
· Perform analyses related to production plans using available data environments; produce and present reports based on these analyses.
· Develop a thorough understanding of the Division’s machine production planning processes to ensure continuity during team replacements.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives with the business analyst team.
REQUIREMENTS
· University degree in business administration, industrial engineering, operations and logistics engineering, or another equivalent field. Any relevant combination of education and experience will also be considered.
EXPERIENCE
· 3-5 years of experience in production planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with planning software such as Greycon, TrimPlus, PlanPlus, as well as ERP systems, is considered
an asset.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, analyze, and present information from multiple sources.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced or expert-level Excel skills.
· Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and show accountability and proactivity.
· Self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and leadership.
· Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
and to present plans to teams.
LANGUAGES
· Fluent in both French and English, spoken and written.
Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
