Business Consultant

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Consulting leader who combines strong business advisory capabilities with practical understanding of technology-driven transformation, IT delivery, and banking/financial services environments. This role is focused on evolving our IT Business Consulting capability, shaping high-quality client engagements, and supporting business growth in a pragmatic and execution-oriented way. The ideal candidate combines consulting mindset and client-facing advisory credibility with hands-on understanding of how technology organizations, delivery teams, and transformation initiatives operate in practice. We are looking for someone who can act as a trusted advisor for clients while also providing professional leadership, standards, mentoring, and direction for consultants, analysts, and transformation professionals who want to grow toward a more advisory-oriented career path. The role requires balancing strategic thinking with practical execution realities, setting clear consulting standards, and influencing across delivery, engineering, governance, product, data, and sales teams. 

Responsibilities

• Acting as a senior IT Business Consultant supporting clients in business and technology transformation initiatives within banking and financial services.
• Supporting business development and presales activities by helping shape client needs, value propositions, transformation approaches, and winning offers.
• Playing a leading role in evolving the IT Business Consulting capability across the organization, including consulting approaches, frameworks, standards, and reusable assets.
• Providing consulting leadership, mentoring, and professional guidance for Business Analysts, System Analysts, Data Analysts, and other professionals aspiring to grow toward consulting and advisory roles.
• Setting and promoting consulting standards that connect business advisory, technology understanding, delivery pragmatism, and measurable client value.
• Bridging business expectations with technology, IT delivery, architecture, data, and implementation realities to ensure practical and executable outcomes.
• Collaborating closely with delivery, engineering, governance, architecture, product, data, and sales teams across transformation initiatives.
• Supporting clients in shaping technology-enabled business transformations, process improvements, and organizational change initiatives.
• Strengthening consulting excellence through knowledge sharing, capability-building, development of practical consulting assets, and promotion of consistent consulting standards.
• Translating market trends, client needs, and emerging topics such as digital transformation, AI, and modern ways of working into practical consulting capabilities, assets, and development priorities.
• Supporting internal transformation and strategic initiatives where consulting, facilitation, and change management capabilities are needed. 

Requirements 

• Strong experience in IT consulting, business consulting, technology transformation, or related advisory roles within banking or financial services.
• Practical experience leading or supporting business and technology transformation initiatives in complex IT environments.
• Proven ability to provide professional leadership in consulting engagements, transformation workstreams, capability-building initiatives, or communities of practice, either formally or informally.
• Ability to engage effectively with both senior business stakeholders and delivery or technology teams.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in presales, consulting-led business development, opportunity shaping, or preparation of commercial proposals.
• Good understanding of IT delivery, software development lifecycle, data, architecture, and technology transformation realities.
• Ability to translate business challenges into practical, technology-enabled solutions and transformation approaches.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including delivery, engineering, governance, architecture, product, and data areas.
• Practical interest in AI, innovation, and modern transformation approaches, with willingness to apply them in client-facing and internal consulting work.
• Ability to influence, mentor, and support others through expertise, collaboration, and professional credibility.
• Fluent English and Polish, with readiness to travel between our offices in Poland (Łódź, Warszawa, Poznań, Kraków).
