Key Responsibilites:

• Serve as a key member of the Country Leadership Team (LT), contributing to overall business strategy, decision-making, and performance delivery, with full accountability for the logistics function and its alignment to organizational goals.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all logistics operations, defining and executing a forward-looking logistics strategy that maximizes efficiency, reliability, scalability, and cost competitiveness while supporting business growth.
• Act as the senior interface between KONE and Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), driving strategic partnerships across materials planning, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, distribution, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
• Own and optimize the end-to-end logistics cost structure, including full budget accountability; drive financial transparency through advanced analytics, linking operational performance to financial outcomes and identifying opportunities for sustainable cost reduction.
• Lead the design and execution of continuous improvement and Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) initiatives, embedding a culture of operational excellence, Lean thinking, and innovation across the logistics network.
• Define, implement, and govern robust KPI and SLA frameworks across the logistics ecosystem; drive performance management and accountability for both internal teams and external partners to ensure best-in-class service delivery.
• Lead strategic sourcing and contract management (in collaboration with Purchasing), including negotiation, performance governance, and continuous evaluation of LSP partnerships to ensure long-term value creation and resilience.
• Champion data-driven decision-making by establishing advanced reporting, dashboards, and predictive analytics capabilities to enhance visibility, forecasting accuracy, and proactive issue resolution.
• Ensure best-in-class inventory management and integrity through strong governance, accurate cycle counting, and optimization of inventory levels aligned with working capital targets and service requirements.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing logistics organization; set clear vision, objectives, and performance expectations while fostering leadership capability, engagement, and succession planning within the team.
• Drive strategic warehousing and network optimization initiatives, including Lean transformations, footprint redesign, and digitalization opportunities to improve throughput, flexibility, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure all logistics activities operate in full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and global standards, while proactively managing risks and ensuring business continuity

4.2 Professional Requirements (Senior Leadership Profile)

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale operations and transformation initiatives.
• Extensive end-to-end supply chain expertise, including logistics operations, warehousing, inventory optimization, transportation, customs clearance, and regulatory frameworks within Egypt and/or similar markets.
• Strong business and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, driving cost optimization, and linking operational performance to financial outcomes.
• Advanced capabilities in data analytics, digital tools, and performance management systems; ability to translate data into strategic insights and decisions.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex projects and transformation programs (e.g., Lean, network optimization, digitalization).
• Experience operating within highly compliant, regulated, and governance-driven supply chain environments.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across matrixed, cross-functional, and international teams at senior levels.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and planning-logistics integration, including production planning, demand-supply balancing, S&OP processes, and inbound/outbound material flow synchronization.
• Proven ability to align logistics strategies with manufacturing and planning functions to ensure seamless supply chain execution, optimize lead times, and support production continuity.
• Strong business and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, driving cost optimization, and linking operational performance to financial outcomes.

4.3 Essential & Preferred Requirements

• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is considered a strong advantage.
• Recognized professional certifications such as APICS (CLTD, CSCP, CPIM) and/or Lean/Six Sigma are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership experience (10+ years) in relevant leadership roles with increasing scope and responsibility.
