Pay Range: $22 - $25 per hour
Position Summary:
Provide daily support to production, engineering and facilities for equipment related troubleshooting, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and new installations. Performs tasks in a timely and safe manner to meet customer needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Associate or baccalaureate degree and/or trade certification preferred
- Three to Five years of experience in equipment repairs
- Exposure to some facilities related projects such as HVAC, roofing, building needs, compressors, fire suppression, plumbing, electrical, and equipment rigging
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, part replacement and installations
- Experience participating in building and equipment safety
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours when necessary as business needs require
- Off-shift Equipment Tech positions may be more heavily focused on equipment experiences instead of facilities experience
Essential Job Functions:
- Support facilities short and long-term tasks including maintenance, preventive maintenance, and end-of-life facilities replacements
- Support projects involving outside contractors and vendors & actively takes advantage of gaining knowledge during involvement
- Daily/Weekly timely completion of equipment preventive maintenance, calibrations, and spare parts ordering
- Equipment support beyond engineering countermeasures i.e. new parts/components, replacement equipment components, and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues
- Operations and engineering resource for troubleshooting equipment / process issues occurring on shift
- Utilization of maintenance management software to record events and completion of tasks
- Proactively looks for opportunities to improve the equipment and/or processes
- Timely completion of documentation and training sign offs including PR’s, work orders, schedules, and contract agreements
- Proactively escalates and communicates needs for support from other departments
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Timely reporting and ordering of equipment consumables and/or PM related items
- Off-shift Equipment Tech positions may be assigned more troubleshooting support functions for engineers and operations
- Supports plant Safety Committee
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Some computer skills in Microsoft Office products and basic understanding of spreadsheets
- Some experience of electrical and mechanical understanding to troubleshoot equipment independently, with engineering and/or with vendor/contractors
- Ability to interact with people with respect, collaboration, and integrity
- Ability to understand and uphold Safety, ESD, Clean room gowning, and ISO protocols
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to utilize tools and measurement devices and some experience in basic facilities and equipment troubleshooting including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical
Physical Abilities (ex: standing, pulling, include duration):
- Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely utilize common maintenance equipment such as ladders, tools, lifts, pallet jacks, and forklifts
Pay Range: $22 - $25 per hour
