Data Intake Operator @ CGI

Position Description:CGI is seeking Data Intake Operator II to support critical data processing and operational activities within a fast paced production environment. This role is responsible for processing, validating, monitoring, and supporting data exchanges between internal systems and external clients while ensuring compliance with established service level agreements and data quality standards.The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams to support data integrity, troubleshoot operational issues, conduct testing activities, and provide technical support to clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service and operational excellence.Your future duties and responsibilities:Process and monitor inbound and outbound data files while meeting established service level agreementsReview, analyze, and validate data files to ensure compliance with data quality and formatting standardsIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve production processing issues and data exceptionsSupport data exchange activities with external clients, including account setup and technical assistanceConduct user acceptance testing and system validation activities for operational enhancements and code changesCollaborate with data integrity, operations, and technical teams to ensure timely and accurate processingMonitor system alerts and error messages, escalating issues and communicating resolutions to stakeholdersDocument operational procedures and workflows to support consistency and knowledge sharingMaintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with organizational policiesIdentify process improvement opportunities and recommend operational efficiencies
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:1+ year of experience in a customer facing or operations focused environmentExperience working with data files, file validation, or data processing operationsWorking knowledge of SQL query creation, review, or troubleshootingExperience working within UNIX or Linux based environmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including ExcelKnowledge of file transfer technologies, file systems, and data exchange processesStrong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment with changing prioritiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting higher education, student loan, or financial services environmentsExperience with SFTP, SSH, and secure file transfer processesBilingual Spanish language skillsExperience providing technical support via phone and emailDemonstrated ability to remain effective under pressureKnowledge of data quality, compliance reporting, or operational controlsEducationAssociate degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and military service Skills:Customer Service & SupportData Validation
