What you'll be doing
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments to identify patient needs and develop appropriate intervention plans, delivered on either an individual or group basis.
- Manage and coordinate individual Occupational Therapy treatment plans, facilitate therapeutic groups, and oversee unit programmes.
- Prepare Occupational Therapy reports and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Work collaboratively as a key member of the multidisciplinary team to support patient care and treatment on the ward.
- Provide supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants, where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues, ensuring clinical practice aligns with Priory policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and carers to support high-quality care delivery.
- Complete a minimum of 60% of contracted hours in direct clinical practice.
What you'll bring to the role
The successful candidate will hold a recognised degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and maintain current registration with the HCPC. Previous experience working within eating disorder services or mental health settings is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills, alongside the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. A compassionate, recovery-focused approach is essential, together with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals in rebuilding confidence, identity, and independence in their everyday lives.
