Job Description
Purpose
Responsible for supervising all materials-related operations on the night shift to ensure uninterrupted production support and efficient material flow. This position oversees shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control (including cycle counting), and production material support while ensuring compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards.
This role serves as the primary materials leadership presence during off-shift hours, ensuring execution of the production plan, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting plant objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

• Supervise Materials Team Leads, drivers, and warehouse personnel on night shift; drive accountability, performance, and adherence to standards
• Maintain and approve employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Ensure uninterrupted material flow to production lines in alignment with the production schedule
• Monitor and escalate material shortages or risks impacting production or customer delivery
• Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer and system requirements
• Verify proper material transactions, labeling, and documentation within Plex and associated systems
• Oversee and execute cycle count activities to ensure 100% completion, target accuracy, and PFEP compliance
• Ensure PFEP adherence through proper material presentation, storage locations, container management, and replenishment methods
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and escalate findings to Materials Planning for root cause analysis and corrective action
• Ensure compliance with material handling, storage, traceability, and inventory control standards
• Lead shift-level response to material-related issues, including containment and support of non-conforming material processes
• Communicate critical issues and shift performance to leadership; ensure effective shift handoff to day shift
• Drive continuous improvement in material flow, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Support plant objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost, including audit readiness and adherence to procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
• Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3+ years of experience in materials, warehouse, or logistics in a manufacturing environment
• Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
• Automotive experience preferred
