About the department


The Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS) Business Solutions team leads strategic data initiatives, business management, analytics, and business process transformation. The team improves operational efficiency and scalability across FTIS by delivering data-driven solutions and creating analytical dashboards that drive improved executive decision making.
 

How you will add value

  • You will coordinate the intake process of different requests from the FTIS business, prioritize and work with internal and external (FTS/FTT) partners on best ways to implement.

  • You will oversee various business management processes and enhancements including Market Data request and expense Management, Index requests, business analytics and support recurring operations and reporting as needed.

  • You will track reporting issues related to performance, performance attribution and work with the FTS teams to identify root causes and create strategic solutions.

  • You will design, oversee and manage investment data quality check processes, including making sure proper checks are designed, implemented and tracking the processes to ensure they are being properly executed by FTT and FTS partners.

  • You will construct proper governance frameworks and methodologies to document processes and evolving expansion of business analytics.

  • You will establish proper reconciliation processes and oversee reconciliation results to prioritize and take action to remedy differences such as revenue, performance, benchmark assignments, etc.

  • You will lead cross-functional transformation efforts through evaluating processes, recommending improvements and implementing changes leveraging technology across investments, operations and client reporting to build a scalable business model.

  • You will participate in the research, design, building and testing of analytical tool frameworks that drive executive decision making.

  • You will drive the exploration and discovery of new tools to make the entire organization more efficient including internal and external AI software.

  • You will perform necessary data analysis, strategic data assessments and recommendations to enable these new solutions.

  • You will use creativity to devise solutions that adapt to business needs including short term tactical solutions that can bridge the gap to long term strategic plans.


What will help you be successful in this role


Experience & Education:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in financial data, operations, or analytics.

  • Background in product/operations/performance is a major plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel.

  • Business and operations knowledge of public and private markets including mutual funds, ETFs, alternatives and associated data such as performance and taxonomy.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Effective project management and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to lead initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
