Job Description

The Senior Securities Services Operations Associate is a part of the Corporate Actions Operations team which provides operational support to UMB's fast growing Corporate Trust and Institutional Custody departments. Within the Trust Operations environment, this team interacts with internal partners to process both mandatory and voluntary corporate action notifications, elections and payments for both foreign and domestic holdings. With our robust training to provide extensive UMB and financial knowledge, the Corporate Actions team provides a high level of service to our internal & external partners.

These Securities Services Operations Associate Seniors each have a specific and impactful function for our clients and UMB to ensure accurate processing requests. The Trust Operations team members are subject matter experts that assist our business partners by delivering a high level of performance in a fast-paced environment.

The Senior Securities Services Operations Associate is responsible for processing a variety of duties for corporate actions in the Corporate Action Saas system. This role will focus on analyzing and completing workflow tasks, processing elections with great detail and balancing corporate action events between our accounting system, corporate action processing system and our sub-custodian to ensure all are matching and accurate. They will prioritize tasks by risk and complete with a high level of speed and accuracy while supporting a large number of internal and external clients. This role will assist with peer review and learn multiple functions within the team. You can expect a fast-paced environment with unpredictable scenarios while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to client needs. How you’ll spend your time:

  • You will use problem solving skills to determine what action needs to be taken to ensure notifications, elections and payments are made timely and accurately.
  • You will need strong communication skills to make a positive client experience.
  • You will need a strong attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and prevent risk.

  • You have 2-3 years of financial services or banking experience OR a college degree.

Compensation Ranges:

US Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York:

$41,060 - $59,760

US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin:

$37,490 - $54,700

US Employees in all other states not listed above:

$33,920 - $49,650
