
Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
Overview Epsilon is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and enhance core capabilities for Epsilon Clean Room, our privacy-first data collaboration platform. In this role, you will contribute as a strong individual contributor, partner with product, architecture, and engineering teams, and develop scalable solutions that enable secure, data-rich collaboration for enterprise clients. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Build and maintain cloud-native data platform features on AWS using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications to support scalable and resilient systems. Work hands-on across the technology stack, including Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Express.js, AWS services, event-driven architecture, and SQL/NoSQL databases, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with engineering, product management, and architecture teams to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions. Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of assigned software components and services. Contribute to improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence across the platform. Write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and support team engineering standards and documentation. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining production applications. Architecture: Experience building distributed systems, microservices, and robust REST APIs. Tech-Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern backend development frameworks and practices. Data: Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging technologies, and relational or NoSQL databases. Infrastructure: Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using core platform services. DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software development practices. AI: Practical experience leveraging agent-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to optimize software delivery velocity without compromising on code quality. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience building scalable, enterprise-grade applications. Data: Hands-on experience with modern, big data platforms and processing frameworks such as Databricks, Snowflake, or PySpark. AI: Practical exposure to Generative AI architectures, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and autonomous agentic systems.
